The petitioner expresses her dissatisfaction with the way in which the road transport sector in the Canary Islands is regulated by means of Act 13/2007, which, in her opinion, disguises the fact that there are monopolistic practices at play by limiting the number of permits and licences granted for the sector. She advocates for what she refers to as a free occupational market and believes that it is unfair that the taxi and limousine sector in the Canary Islands has so many barriers preventing those operating such services from accessing the market.
